my friend today introduced me to astral projection. Im a freshman in high school and astral projection to me seems very interesting. I wanna try it but I’m scared a demonic presence will take over my body. I am also a catholic so I don’t want to do it but I still am curious about it. How does it feel and what do you do? can you fly around earth and see people? what are the risks and chances of dieing. Is it fun and should I try it at home? I would want to try it just once and see how it feels.
yeah I know its against my religion thats one of the main reasons I dont wanna do it. I still want to know how it feels though
well I got introduced to it. not really learn
David,
I think you would find better uses of your time by praying and finding ways to use your talents for God. If you have a fear of demonic presences then you might want to think about that a long time. I for one believe that God gives us those feelings to protect us. Being a freshman in high school it’s very easy to be led in a direction that you possibly don’t want to be in.
If it were me I would leave the metaphysical ideas alone and find out what God has planned for you. Believe me his ideas are much more gratifying if you seek him out. I tell you this because 16 years ago I started playing around with this kind of thing, which eventually led me into becoming involved with Wicca, paganism, Ouija boards and other extreme things. It took me 15 long years to find my way back to God. I don’t want the same for you. Don’t miss out on your time with God please.
Love in Christ,
Michelle

You close your eyes, lose your sense of balance and imagine various places and/or entities. If you have ever had a lucid dream, it is just like that. You are still in your body, and those pesky demons, faeries, dwarves, and hobgoblins will not possess you..
Btw, it is against Catholicism, it is considered a practice of the occult.

If you learned about it, why are you asking what is it all about?

It’s a kind of fantasy whereby one imagines their "soul" or "spirit" or "consciousness" can leave their body and fly around, invisibly observing the world.
Go ahead and try it. The only thing I can guarantee is that demons will not take over your body.

It is forbidden by the Catholic Church, because it is dangerous.
This is because the soul; containing all reason, thought, memories, emotion, attitudes, and beliefs; leaves the physical body during a wake state, and this can cause bizarre belief systems to develop, based on improperly interpreted sensations from the reality elevated from, and parallel to three dimensional reality.
The soul in an agnostic state; that is indifferent toward The Holy Trinity, or Triune God God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit; is left without protection, roaming the atmosphere, and perhaps some distance beyond this in a spiritual ghetto that surrounds the earth: The Third Heaven. The Third Heaven is ruled by spiritual hosts of wickedness in the high places, which will send demons to deceive those who will not keep to the domain of the world.
A human soul, when detached from the physical body, during a waking state, without the protection of The Roman Catholic God, Jesus Christ, is very vulnerable to molestation by demons.
Roman Catholics refer to escorted travel in the spiritual dimension, an anointing. Jesus Christ is The Anointed of God, Who, while in human form was constantly aware of All Truth, regardless of the shortcomings of the human sensory channels. He was, therefore, constantly in a state of Astral Projection, or anointing. The anointed of God will prophesy Truth directly from God, perform miraculous healings, order the atmosphere to obey them, stop rain from falling in a certain area, pass through solid objects, and/or become invisible when threatened.

You can do anything if you have great imagination. Do not try anything without a guide. Since you heard it from your friend the first time, why don’t you ask him for more info.
No one dies by doing such things. Only thing is do not attempt anything without proper guidance!
